물론 그 선택이 쉬운 것만은 아니었습니다. 주변에는 더 안전한 길이 있었고, 포르투갈어라는 선택을 의아해하는 시선도 적지 않았습니다. 그러나, 브라질은 중남미 최대 경제국이며 루소폰 아프리카는 자원과 전략적 가치를 지닌 지역입니다. 이러한 큰 중요성에 비해 현재의 한국 외교에서는 아직 충분히 다뤄지지 않는 세계이고, 그만큼 전문가도 드뭅니다. 그렇기 때문에 포르투갈어가 외교관으로서 제 커리어에 큰 도움이 될 것이라고 생각했습니다.That practice has seeped into how I study.
